At Flowers & Sense we design bouquets with the colours and
flowers you choose. We create the bouquet you dreamed of with
attention to detail and freshness. We help you choose the design of
your bouquet whether it is a nosegay, cascade, hand tied or
crescent, beautifully, simply and easily. Our designers will then
plan with you, the attendant’s flowers giving you a perfect floral
wedding story. Our boutonnieres and corsages will be the finishing
touches to this story which, from start to finish will be the unique
look you want. We have many books, pictures, flower charts and
colour choices to help you decide your perfect floral expression.

Weddings, Silk Flowers
At Flowers & Sense we believe the most beautiful bouquets are made
with fresh flowers. Their subtlety of colour, their fragrance and
sheer beauty and luminosity are incomparable…but sometimes fresh
flowers are just not what are needed for your special day.
Are you worried about turning up at the altar with swollen eyes and
a runny nose because of allergies? Stressed about the extra
difficulties of organizing a wedding at a remote location? Do you
wish for a bouquet of tulips in August or want a cascading bouquet
of orchids, but not the cost? Don't panic! There is a beautiful
solution to many of these common bridal dilemmas. Our quality silk
wedding flowers are perfect for many situations.
If you answer yes to these questions than maybe you should choose a
permanent botanical bouquet:
- You want out of season flowers.
- You cannot source unusual varieties or colours in perishable
flowers.
- You need to take your bouquet to an island wedding because
you don’t want to be surprised with a bouquet that doesn’t
reflect your style and Customs just doesn’t permit plant
material.
- The temperature will be too high or too low for perishable
flowers (generally over 28°C or under 3°C).
- Your wedding lasts longer than a day or is staged in two
different states or countries.
- An allergy-free bouquet is required.
- The flowers you want are too fragile to be viable, even at
low temperatures (violets, sweet peas, hydrangea and other
flowers that may not last without a direct water source).
- You’re a prop stylist needing heat proof, long-lasting
bouquets for movie or theatrical use.
- You like the convenience of choosing a ‘prêt-a porter’
bouquet with coordinating bridesmaids’ bouquets, corsages,
boutonnières and flower girl accessories and having them long
before the wedding day.
- Your wedding will be 'out of town' or ‘out of province’ and
you'd like to organize your flowers now and take them with you.
- You want to keep/display the bouquet forever, exactly how it
was on your wedding day.
- You wish to avoid the expense of bouquet preservation
(usually between $150 - $400).
- You would like to use your bouquet in 25 or 50 years' time
for an anniversary party or your renewal of vows ceremony.
- You would like a large bouquet, but still want it to be
lightweight and easy to carry.

Delivery Area
Flowers & Sense has a large delivery area and can meet the needs
of any bride in Ontario.
For weddings in Barrie delivery is free on the day of the wedding to
the location in which the bride is getting ready. We personally
present you with your bouquet and assist the attendants in the
proper handling and positioning of their bouquets for the ultimate
wedding photographs. We also deliver to the Groom and his party at
their location and help them pin on boutonnieres. We can supply free
delivery and placement of centerpieces at the chosen venue. For
weddings outside of Barrie a nominal delivery charge is required and
will be outlined in the Wedding Contract. All weddings are delivered
well in advance of the ceremony by the wedding designer ensuring
good quality control of your flowers. Flowers & Sense provides this
service with the Bride and Groom in mind, assuring them of a worry
free day.

Appointments and Contracts
Please email or call to schedule an appointment for your initial
consultation so your Wedding Consultant can give you the individual
attention you deserve. To enable us to best advise you, we recommend
you first select your ceremony and reception locations; securing the
date and times. We also recommend you bring photos of your gown, the
attendants’ gowns and your wedding day venues so styles, textures
and colors may be coordinated to give you the most effective visual
presentation possible. A meeting at your venue is also possible.
After the initial conference with your Wedding Consultant, and you
have made the deposit listed below, you will receive a copy of your
contract, which will specifically outline all flowers, accessories,
rentals, and services. We ask you to carefully read the contract and
contact us should there be any changes or omissions. Any and all
further minor changes can be made up to ten days before your
wedding. These changes should be made in person at Flowers & Sense
and initialed on the wedding contract. Costs resulting from any
changes will be debited/credited to the final total of your order.
Flowers & Sense requires a non-returnable retainer of 30 % of your
wedding contract to reserve a specific date and time for your
wedding. This fee will be credited to the final total balance due of
your wedding flowers. Certain types of rental equipment may require
additional refundable deposits, which will be outlined to you at the
time of your initial conference.
The final balance of your wedding (reflecting the credit of your
initial deposit) is to be paid in full no less than ten calendar
days prior to your wedding date by cash or credit card.
